CE #2.2 and work day. Assigned 11/17, due 11/19 - CE

On your Google Site, please make a new subpage and title it: Current Events Quiz #2.2. Answer the question below on that page. You are welcome to make multiple text boxes if that is easier, or if you want to work on just one text box, that is great. Whatever is best for you. Please be aware that if you copy and past the questions to your Google Site, it can create some formatting problems. I DO NOT NEED you to include the questions - just the answers.

Here is today's quiz!!

1.  What is "Charlotte's Web" according to that article?

2. Why was the AV Incident Dashboard created, according to the article?

3. What can Smart Earrings track, according to the article?

4. What are the two ways Roblox users will need to utilize to verify their age, so they can access the game, in the very near future, according to the article?

5. What argument is the Bengals Ja'Marr making in his appeal for being suspended for spitting on another player? (you will have to click an extra box to get to this website and you may need to click the link a second time, once you do that)

Long Response:

Please read the following story and respond to the questions below. Please answer the question fully and always try to answer WHY. This section is the subjective section and I will penalize you if you write one word or short phrases for answers with an open-ended question.

Please read the following article about the Epstein Files:

A. Summarize the short story in a few sentences

B. Do the woman who have come forward and accused Epstein have credible claims and how should society treat these people, in your opinion?

C. Why have a few Republican lawmakers backed the push to release the files, according to the article?

D. What should happen to the people who might be on this list who "are still celebrated by society" (Rep. Ro Khanna, CA D)

E. It is possible that many things in the files will be redacted (crossed out so the text is eligible to read). Explain your feelings on this topic, should the government protect information in files like these?

F. How reliable do you think the files could be regarding famous people having been on the famous Epstein Island, been friends with the man, or even had illegal relationships with underage people?

REMINDER - A single sentence isn't enough. I expect you to expand upon your writing. If you think you have written enough, you haven't, write more. Be sure to answer WHY you think something.

WORK DAY

The rest of today is dedicated to finishing any work you are still missing. On Thursday we will move on to a new unit. Grades are updated and you should know what you are missing and should be working on that TODAY.

Your News/Club stories should be done and I have already put a grade in for this assignment, either MISSING or PENDING based on where you are. You can continue to work on it until it is done with NO PENALTY to your grade until Thanksgiving break. After that date, I will take points off until it is worth a 50.

PLEASE NOTE - we are moving on so there will be NO MORE CLASS TIME dedicated to working on that story, so it is now HOMEWORK.
